Many subjects present you with an overwhelming list of readings or you maybe conducting a literature review that elicits hundreds of apparently relevant resources. Even when you have tracked them all down it can be tough deciding which are most relevant; you simply haven't got time to read them all. We'll look at methods to reduce the number of resources that you need to read in detail.
We'll then spend time experimenting with a variety of note making techniques for use when reading or listening to lectures. You'll have the opportunity to try them out and decide which one best suits your practices.
Sessions will be interactive to enable you to get the most from them, and you will have an opportunity to ask questions to your College Librarians, Laura and Alberto.
