Join our one hour interactive seminar to boost your cycling knowledge with tips on bike maintenance, road positioning, communication, hazard perception, and more, helping you gain the confidence to cycle more often.

Overview

This one hour seminar aims to help attendees improve their knowledge of cycling through the sharing of advice and tips on a various topics, such as;

·  How to check the bike is roadworthy and basic maintenance

·  Preparing for journeys

·  Understanding of good road positioning 

·  Communication with other road users

·  Understanding priorities at junctions and give way points

·  Highway code 

·  Hazard perception

The presentation is energetic and interactive giving the attendees the chance to ask questions and be involved in the session. This will hopefully give everyone the confidence to make more journeys by bike.

 

Facilitator

This seminar will be given by , experts in delivering national standard cycling instruction.

Access

This event will take place in the Roger Needham Room on the second floor of the Chancellor's Centre. It has step-free access with a lift and there is an accessible toilet located each floor of the building.
