Chemical Engineering & Biotechnology at Wolfson

Chemical Engineering & Biotechnology is a broad discipline involving elements of chemistry, physics, biochemistry, biotechnology, materials science and mechanical engineering, and applying these to concepts such as economics, healthcare, safety, the environment and sustainability.

Chemical Engineering & Biotechnology at Cambridge is a four-year course and students will join the Department in year one and progress to either, year 3 where they can leave with a B.A.(Hons) degree or, year 4 and leave with a M.Eng. degree.

Both current B.A. (Hons) and M.Eng. courses are accredited at the appropriate level by the Institution of Chemical Engineers (IChemE). This means that after graduation and 4 years of relevant experience, students can apply for Chartered Engineer status without taking more exams.
