The underlying theme throughout Tom's career, has been the relationship between man and the environment. He is active with the Â鶹ËÞÉáµçÊÓ¾çCollege Boat Club, serving as Treasurer of the Club, and Treasurer of the Friends of WCBC.

Tom Davies

Tom held the following positions during his career:

  • HM Medical Inspector of Factories (1970-1971)
  • HS in Obs and Gynae, Lewisham (1971)
  • SHO Hackney Anaesthetics (1972)
  • District Medical Officer (West) British Solomon Islands (1972-1974)
  • Medical Registrar, King’s Lynn (1975)
  • Registrar Community Medicine (1975-1977)
  • Acting District Community Physician Bury St Edmunds (1980) 
  • University Lecturer, Department of Public Health, including Honorary Consultant in Public Health Medicine, East Anglian RHA (1977- 2002) (later Cambridge and Huntingdon)
  • Director of East Anglian Cancer Registry, Chairman UK cancer Registries for four years
  • UK representative EU committee on Cancer Prevention
  • University Committee on Travel and Expeditions 
  • University Health Committee  

He retired in 2002.
