Senior Researcher at the Department of Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology and Marie Sklodowska-Curie Individual European Fellow Dr Hirak Patra has recently published a review article on the topic of treating metastatic cancer using nanotechnology, with collaborators in the US, Norway and Sweden.
Published in the journal Trends in Pharmacological Sciences, the paper gives an overview of the current landscape of antimetastatic treatments and clinical trails and how nanotechnology is being incorporated into these therapeutics.
